O' MOTHER

Proverbs 31:25-28 says, Strength and honor are her closing; She shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.

My poem is based off this proverb. These pictures are of the mother’s I had in my life. All of them are gone now. My beautiful mom Karron, my step-mom Karol, and my mother-in-law Essie whom I never met.

In ancient days when stars were spun,
the Creator forged with light and love,
a heart so pure, a spirit bright,
He carved the soul of every mother,
a trust bestowed, a noble quest,
reflecting all heaven's bounty.

With hands that toil, and hearts that care,
through labors long, she stands so proud,
resourceful in the face of need,
her strength is found in gentle deeds,
for every trial she meets with grace,
in quiet nights, her courage glows.

Clothed in dignity, she wears her might,
to face the dawn with laughter clear,
the days ahead are met with joy,
for wisdom crowns her weary brow.
She speaks with love, the truth she shares,
with faithful words that guide the lost.

Her kindness flows like rivers wide,
in every act, compassion blooms,
a generous heart that knows no bounds,
she nurtures hopes in every room,
a light to all who seek her way,
in shadows deep, she bids them rise.

God-fearing, she lifts her eyes,
to heavens bright, where blessings fall,
in prayer she finds her path secure,
through every storm, she stands in peace.
A beacon fierce against despair,
her laughter rings through trials faced.

O' Mother, strong, in you we find,
the essence of creation's grace,
in every challenge, you may know,
you're woven into heaven's lace.
For in your hands, the world renews,
in you, the seeds of love arise.
