As the rain beats against the windowpane
And the waves crash on shore like the sound of a freight train,
There remains a beauty in the colors of white and grey,
In the constant bashing of each wave that is consistently replayed.
The mighty roar of the waves crashing on shore
And the fury of the wind that can’t be underscored,
Reminds me God is still the Master at work
And there in lies the beauty and knowledge that lasts forever.
Even on the dark, cloudy, rainy days at the beach,
I know God is always in reach,
Because I see the constant action and sound of the waves
And know He is the Creator and the God who saves.
As I reflect and spend time alone with God today,
He is the potter, and I am the clay.
With each sunrise and sunset,
I’m grateful to have this time to reconnect.
Lord, thank you for giving me the breath of life today.
Thank you for being my guiding light on this pathway.
What an incredible journey it has been.
O Lord, you are my God and my salvation.
This was a poem I wrote and published over on my personal blog on 11/25/2022 that I thought would be perfect to share for this week’s theme. It’s been a very busy week; therefore, I’m a little slower in sharing. Hope you enjoy this poem.
Love your poem Anne thank you for the experience chaos to calm.
Beautifully written. Thank you for sharing.
