Thank you for sharing your beautiful story of being in Rainbow Girls. I was involved in a similar girls group in the Anglican Church called Junior Auxiliary. JAs, as we called it, had similar goals, values and virtues. I loved it and know that JAs helped build a solid foundation for a life focused on faith, hope and love. 🌈

Thanks, Karen ~ now that I look back I see that Rainbow Girls had a huge impact on my life. Did you have rituals you had to follow at meetings, etc. with JA?

Yes. We had uniforms, started and ended our gatherings with prayer, had annual greater Vancouver wide gatherings and always had at least a few hymns and camp type songs.

Well, first of all, I love the photo! But also thanks for sharing about the "rituals' of the Rainbow Girls. I was never a part, but others I knew were. Those traditions get etched in our brains for life, don't they?

I was looking for a picture of my sister as Worthy Advisor, but I couldn't find it so I had to resort to that beaut. Ha! Service has remained a big part of my life. Maybe that's where I got the idea. xoxo

My best friend in high school was in Rainbows. I think I went to an activity with her.

This is beautiful description of a ritual, a ritual with purpose and deep meaning. Growing up I did have several classmates who were “Rainbow Girls”. I love the photo. It is sweet. Enjoy your week Jan. xoxo
